Uber Technologies Inc filed an appeal with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to hold up proceedings along with the trial.  The lawsuit is being tried before the honorable Edward Chen and drivers claim they should be treated as employees and Uber should pay for expenses such as gas and car maintenance.
