Fraley Facebook Settlement
- Class members can obtain more information about when their settlement checks will be arriving
- The Court issued its Order Granting Motion for Final Approval of Settlement Agreement on April 26, 2013, and the Final Judgment on April 19, 2013
- Settlement payments will start going out on or around 11/17/16
The Fraley Facebook Settlement is entitled Fraley, et al. v. Facebook, Inc., et al., and is listed as case number CV-11-01726 RS. Those who might receive a settlement payment upon the final approval grant are those who have or have had a Facebook account and a Facebook Sponsored Story featured your or your child’s name or profile picture, you or your child may be a “Class Member” in a class action lawsuit. A 20 million dollar settlement fund has been established and class member are expected to receive a check for around $10 (the exact amount of each check may be more depending on how many people file claims in the Fraley Facebook Settlement lawsuit). Any questions about the lawsuit can be directed to: Fraley v. Facebook, Inc. Settlement c/o GCG P.O. Box 35009 Seattle, WA 98124-1009. Please note the Court awarded $236,591.08 for costs and awarded attorney fees of 25% of the balance of the settlement funds remaining after deduction of (1) settlement administration expenses, (2) the costs awarded, and (3) the incentive awards.
Fraley Facebook Settlement Quick Notes
- Distribution of settlement awards will occur by April 17, 2020
- The payment should come in the form of a check so the class member will need a bank account in order to cash it
