J2 Late Fee Settlement
- Any US resident who was charged a late fee by j2 from April 26, 2010 until April 18, 2014 is eligible to file a claim and potentially receive compensation in the J2 class action suit
- The amount of the payment or credit that a claimant received will be based on the highest late fee they can provide proof they paid j2 (these will range between $10 to $25)
- Customers who are past customers of j2 will receive a check in the amount of one late fee while customers who are current customers of j2 will receive one late fee credit to their account
A new class action law suit, called Law Enforcement Officers, Inc. v. j2 Web Services, Inc, alleges that J2 services illegally charged customers late fees. J2 denies that their late fees were illegal, and insists that they fully complied with the law, but they have agreed to settle this matter out of court instead of taking the time to have a legal case. To receive compensation in the class action lawsuit against J2, customers will need to be able to show a copy of their credit or debit card statement showing payment of a late fee to J2, a a copy of their monthly billing statement for any of the services showing payment of a late fee, or a copy of their online billing history for the services showing that a late fee was assessed and paid. Class members ARE NOT required to attend the J2 Late Fee Settlement approval hearing that takes place on Wednesday, February 15, 2020.
What other benefits are there of the J2 late fee class action law suit?
An added benefit of this law suit against j2 is that j2 has agreed not to sue or pursue Settlement Class Members for not paying late fees charged by j2 at any time before or up until April 30, 2020.
